Since its creation in 2001, the festival has been dedicated to spotting and promoting the next generations of performers. Each edition focuses on a different instrument and features a selection of eight young artists, who will perform every day in the Gstaad Chapel, under the auspices of a mentor.
Mentors are typically prominent educators and musicians of international stature themselves. They will be in residence throughout the week to meet and work with the young musicians in a relaxed and informal setting. Mentors also chair the committee that awards the “Thierry Scherz Prize”.
